He died infected and was buried in the Church of San Carlo in Turin<\/p>\n<p><strong>CELESTINO DE ASTE (c. 1820)<br \/><\/strong>Canon of the Metropolitan Church of Turin, in 1807 he redeemed from the French administration the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of HaI and the adjoining Philippine convent, which he donated to the Murazzanesi at his death for the foundation of the hospital.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LORENZO BRUNO (1821 -1900)<br \/><\/strong>Head of the medical clinic at the Royal University of Turin, personal physician to Victor Emmanuel II and senator of the Kingdom of Italy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LUIGI ADAMI (1834- 1913)<br \/><\/strong>Lieutenant General who took part in the Battle of S. Martino (1859) and was decorated with a silver medal of the V. M. He was aide-de-camp General to H.M. Umberto I and was a Member of Parliament for two legislatures. After careful research, in 1903, he wrote the History of the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of HaI, discovering how the image venerated in Murazzano is inspired by an ancient statue found in HaI in Belgium and dated 1266.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VINCENZO ALBARELLO (1876- 1917)<br \/><\/strong>Major of the Alpine troops, commanded the company that conquered Mount Nero (16\/6\/1916), was decorated with three V.M. gold medals and the cross of the Military Order of Savoy. The city of Turin dedicated Piazza Vincenzo Albarello to him in his memory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DON CARLO BRUNO (1831-1922)<br \/><\/strong>A priest, a scholar of agriculture, hydrography and geology, he left many writings and was considered the best Italian geologist of the time. He was among the explorers of the Bossea Caves and one of the founders of the Mondov\u00ec Agricultural Consortium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DOMENICO MARIA DURANTE (1879- 1944)<br \/><\/strong>A painter who participated in many exhibitions, he was invited to the Venice Biennale several times. He particularly distinguished himself as a portrait and landscape painter.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.16.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_text_color=&#8221;#000000&#8243; text_font_size=&#8221;16px&#8221; text_line_height=&#8221;1.4em&#8221; text_font_size_tablet=&#8221;15px&#8221; text_font_size_phone=&#8221;13px&#8221; text_font_size_last_edited=&#8221;on|phone&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>LUCIANO ADAMI (1878 -1965)<br \/><\/strong>A famous magistrate, he was one of the very rare cases of officials who completed fifty years of effective service in the judiciary, becoming Attorney General of the Court of Cassation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIUSEPPE CERRINA (1882- 1959)<br \/><\/strong>He was essentially a man of great culture: humanist, poet, literary critic, musician and painter. He made Murazzano known by making her the protagonist of many paintings, exhibited several times at the Venice Biennale. He devoted his life to trying to represent what cannot be seen, with the aim of overcoming the landscape to reach nature.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BEPPE FENOGLIO (1922 -1963)<br \/><\/strong>Beppe Fenoglio is one of the most important writers of contemporary Italian literature. At a young age, he spent his summer holidays in Murazzano at his paternal relatives&#8217;.<br \/>In the winter of 1943 he joined a partisan formation also in Murazzano and in August 1954 he wrote the \u2018Diario\u2019, a work of 17 interesting notes and stimulating reflections. \u201cThose few pages of the notebook\u2026 become a precious document that helps to understand the writer&#8217;s difficult journey towards maturity\u201d.<br \/>&#8220;The Child Bride&#8221;, &#8220;Farewell&#8221; and &#8220;The tax collector&#8221; are the three extraordinary stories set in our town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ROBERTO GABETTI (1925 &#8211; 2000)<br \/><\/strong>He was one of the great architects of the Italian 20th century. In his numerous masterpieces, the innovative charge was combined with respect for the environment.
